Premiums

GERMAN STUDENT INSURANCE offers tailored insurance coverage for students up to 29 years of age. You will be comprehensively covered by the student insurance of Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) during your studies. If you arrive before your studies begin, we will give you Free Travel Health Insurance for a maximum of 92 days.

During your studies

Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) is the largest provider of public health insurance in Germany. TK health insurance also fulfills all visa requirements and can be concluded from abroad. You will be perfectly insured during your studies with TK health insurance.

Premium for public health insurance: €120.34 per month

This is the monthly premium for students up to age 22. For childless students older than 22 years, a supplement of 4 percent for the long-term care insurance will be charged. Here you can find the detailed premium table:

 

Before your studies

Students from abroad often arrive just a few days before the beginning of their studies and therefore do not need long-term private health insurance. For this reason, we offer you Free Travel Health Insurance for up to 92 days. The Free Travel Health Insurance is a private health insurance that is accepted worldwide for student visa applications at embassies and consulates.

Students from the age of 30

Students from the age of 30 cannot take out public student health insurance. In these cases, we recommend Provisit Student for the complete duration of the stay.
