Declaration on the accessibility of the website
Our goal is to ensure that this website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We follow the standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1) and aim to meet or exceed Level AA compliance.
What we do to support accessibility
To enhance usability and access, especially for users with assistive needs, we have integrated several accessibility features into our website:
- Keyboard Navigation Support: Each page includes quick navigation links at the top, allowing users to skip directly to the main content. These links become visible when navigating via the keyboard using the Tab key. Standard navigation elements, a search field, and a homepage link are available on all pages.
- Semantic HTML Structure: We use properly structured HTML elements such as heading tags (H1, H2, etc.) to clearly define the hierarchy and structure of each page, making it easier for screen readers and other assistive technologies to interpret the content.
- Alternative Image Descriptions: The majority of images include descriptive alt text, ensuring visual content is accessible to screen reader users. We routinely review and update existing images that may lack appropriate alternative text.
- Customizable Font Sizes: Visitors can adjust the text size via browser settings. In most browsers, pressing Ctrl + or Ctrl - (or Cmd on macOS) increases or decreases the font size.
- Responsive Design: The site is built to be compatible with various screen sizes and resolutions, providing a consistent experience across devices.
- Ongoing Monitoring: We regularly audit our website using accessibility evaluation tools. Accessibility is a central part of our continuous improvement process.
